SFL Presents raises over $9,000 in 2016

SFL Presents Board is pleased to announce that our Summer 2016 Fund & Awareness campaign has come to a close. Through the support of you, our local community, and businesses – we have raised just over $6,100, which will be split between this year’s two beneficiaries: L-Fund and the Raina Chessman Fund. Each of these organizations is focused on providing assistance to members of the community who are experiencing a temporary crisis.

We will be delivering a check for $3,050 to each of the organizations in the coming weeks. Details on the date & time are forthcoming.

Each of our events this summer culminated with a raffle – one of our key methods of raising funds. The Board of SFL Presents would like to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to each of the local businesses & individuals who so generously gave to support the work we do. A list of the donors appears at the bottom of this notice – please review the list to see those businesses that came out to support our community, so that we can all support them as well!

We would also like to thank each of the businesses that hosted our events – Willie Rhine & Eight4Nine, Martha Ortega Stolting & the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs and Club Bardot.

Thank you to our performers & Hosts all of whom donated their time and talent to our causes: Joel Ivins & Siobhan McAllister Velarde, Bella da Ball, Keisha D Sings, Vanity Halston, Richard Weiss, and of course the Palm Springs Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence!

And all of our volunteers from the L-Fund, Raina Chessman Fund, Roger Byran Kerr, Adam Krane, Sarah Barthold, Justin Scarpete, Diana Cole, Sondra Pauly, Angel Lee & Lori Bell Goodacre.

And last, but certainly not least – thank you to everyone in our community who came out this summer to raise awareness (and help us raise funds). The world can be challenging at times, and we at SFL Presents understand what it’s like to withstand obstacles. With the help of family, friends, and the community we can rise above.

Our community is strongest when we work together and support each other!

SFL PRESENTS: George Zander co-founded SFL Presents with Antonio Lopez-Cochran & Paul Lopez-Cochran in an effort to redirect the celebration of Paul Lopez-Cochran’s, Victoria Rendall and his birthday into an opportunity to help others in need. We have been raising awareness and funds for local charities in the Coachella Valley since 2002. Charles W. Conn & Donald W. Grimm joined our board in 2016.

At SFL Presents, our only goal is to celebrate the sign of Leo and to raise awareness and funds for local organizations that do so much for our community.
